Responsibilities
- Execute daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately by the end of the shift.
- Perform nightly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and post adjusting entries for accruals, prepaids, and other necessary financial adjustments.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and variance analysis for management review.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes with precision and adherence to GAAP standards.
- Manage and maintain digital and physical filing systems for financial documents and contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
