Responsibilities
- Review and verify incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization.
- Enter invoice data into the accounting system (SAP/Oracle) with a high degree of precision.
- Process payments to vendors via checks, ACH, or wire transfers according to payment terms.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate and resolve any discrepancies or billing errors.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding invoice status and payment inquiries.
- Assist the AP team with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
- File and maintain organized physical and digital records of all invoices and documents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Must be willing to learn; no prior accounting experience is necessary.
- Strong basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is preferred).
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
