Responsibilities
- Record Daily Transactions: Accurately input daily financial data into the company ledger, ensuring all records are up-to-date and error-free.
- Bank Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling bank statements with internal accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and prepare payment batches for the accounting team.
- Financial Reporting: Help compile basic financial reports and spreadsheets for management review.
- Data Entry: Maintain and organize digital and physical financial documents, ensuring proper filing and categorization.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll department by gathering necessary time and attendance data.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior bookkeeping experience required. We provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in numbers. Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Software: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel (including basic formulas) is a plus. We use QuickBooks and Xero, so willingness to learn new software is essential.
- Personal Attributes: Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
