Responsibilities
- Assist with Month-End Close: Support the accounting team in preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and completing the monthly close process.
- Financial Reporting: Help generate standard financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements for management review.
- Accounts Receivable/Payable: Process invoices, manage accounts receivable aging, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and recorded correctly.
- Tax Preparation Support: Gather necessary data and assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and schedules.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- General Office Support: Provide general accounting support and assist with ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance; internship experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros). Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
