Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement verifications.
- Support the preparation and posting of journal entries to the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for management review.
- Review and file financial documents and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist senior staff with year-end audit preparations and tax support.
- Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 0-2 years of experience in an accounting role; internship experience is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
