Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monthly financial close processes to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including expense categorization and accruals.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis reports.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
