Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and variance analyses.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and review for errors or discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the night shift workflow and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support: Provide ad-hoc financial support and data analysis for the finance department leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work the night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly.
