Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for small to mid-sized clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Communicate with clients regarding financial inquiries and document requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or certification in Accounting/Bookkeeping is preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or FreshBooks.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
