Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily transactions and journal entries.
- Reconciliation: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and track accounts receivable collections.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for select clients and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Tax Preparation Assistance: Gather necessary documentation for tax filings and communicate with tax professionals.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and MS Office Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
