As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Accounts Management: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed and payments are made on time.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and internal company policies.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor variances to help the company meet its financial goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency within the finance department.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure high-quality data entry.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional on-site duties.
