Responsibilities
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to ensure organizational adherence to laws and regulations.
- Audit Management: Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure audit readiness.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor changes in federal and state legislation (e.g., FINRA, SEC, HIPAA) and advise leadership on necessary adjustments.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports to governing bodies and internal stakeholders on a timely basis.
- Training & Education: Provide ongoing training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, ethics, and regulatory updates.
- Investigations: Investigate and resolve compliance violations or irregularities, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs role.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant industry regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Remote Work: Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid setting.
