Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Policies: Create, update, and enforce internal compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure operational efficiency.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of changes in federal, state, and local laws (e.g., HIPAA, SOX, GDPR) and advise leadership on necessary adjustments.
- Conduct Audits: Perform regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Training and Education: Design and deliver compliance training programs for staff to foster a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for the Board of Directors and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Investigations: Lead internal investigations into potential violations or misconduct, ensuring fair and thorough resolutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required. Master’s degree or JD preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal auditing within a corporate environment.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards applicable to the industry.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them practically.
