Responsibilities
- Account Management: Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and daily bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll functions, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, adhering to local and federal regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, trial balances, and financial reports to assist in decision-making processes.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to streamline financial workflows and data entry.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential) and experience with cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors, verify data accuracy, and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
