Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in Raleigh, NC. This is an immediate hire opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a tangible impact on our financial operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of financial data, ensuring our clients' books are always in order. If you have a strong background in accounting software and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are recorded and payments are made timely.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees, including time tracking, tax filings, and benefit deductions.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and tax documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with Sage 50 or NetSuite is a plus.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Must possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
