Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate daily financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Process payroll accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and tax extensions.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and basic tax preparation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
