What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities
- Process and verify medical and insurance claims with 100% accuracy.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and underpayments.
- Manage the accounts receivable ledger and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate effectively with patients and insurance carriers regarding billing inquiries.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal financial policies.
- Generate and review monthly financial reports and aging summaries.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to improve billing processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, or insurance processing.
- Proficient knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Familiarity with EMR/Billing software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, or Cerner).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
