As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. You will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Process and review invoices, bills, and payments with a high degree of accuracy.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and payable daily to ensure financial records are up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and inquiries.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Update patient and client records in our billing software systems.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant billing regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or business billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR software (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and billing software (e.g., Practice Fusion, AdvancedMD).
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
