Responsibilities
- Review and post patient charges to the billing system with 100% accuracy.
- Verify and resolve billing discrepancies and insurance denials efficiently.
- Follow up on unpaid claims, resubmitting appeals when necessary.
- Generate and send patient statements via mail and electronic portals.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and financial transactions.
- Assist in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle management.
- Strong proficiency in Medical Billing Software (Epic, Cerner, NextGen, or similar).
- Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
