Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Review and process medical and commercial invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and denials.
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
- Communicate professionally with patients, insurance carriers, and vendors regarding outstanding balances.
- Update and maintain patient records and billing software systems.
- Assist in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Administration (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth, or Meditech).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
