Responsibilities
- Accurately post patient and insurance payments and process adjustments to ensure revenue cycle integrity.
- Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and initiate follow-up actions to minimize denials.
- Review claims for errors prior to submission to ensure 100% clean claim rate.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Utilize billing software (e.g., EPIC, Cerner) to maintain accurate patient records.
- Prepare and audit monthly billing reports for management review.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or revenue cycle billing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and revenue cycle management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
