As a Billing Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our revenue cycle management, ensuring that every transaction is processed with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices and billing statements with 100% accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable, including aging reports and collections follow-up.
- Reconcile billing accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly to minimize revenue leakage.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
- Update patient/client records in the EHR system and billing software.
- Assist in month-end close procedures and prepare necessary financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state billing regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables and formulas).
- Familiarity with medical billing software (Epic, Cerner, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
