Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims to maximize reimbursement
- Resolve billing discrepancies through effective communication with patients and payers
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Analyze aging reports to identify and collect outstanding balances
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure charge accuracy
- Utilize Epic and NextGen EMR systems for billing operations
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim processes and payer requirements
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with data visualization capabilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR systems required
