Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries within 24 hours
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports weekly
- Update patient demographic and insurance information in EHR systems
- Collaborate with coding team to ensure compliance with CPT/ICD-10 guidelines
- Generate monthly billing reports for finance leadership
- Train staff on new billing procedures and software updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential preferred
- Proficient in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rate <2%
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Denial Management software
- Ability to work in HIPAA-compliant environment
