Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through patient account reconciliation and follow-up
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Generate monthly reports on AR aging and denial trends
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture
- Adhere to HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
