Responsibilities
- Process daily financial transactions including cashing checks, processing deposits, and withdrawals with 100% accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering member inquiries regarding account balances, loan products, and financial products.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily reports to ensure financial integrity.
- Assist with opening new accounts and explaining account features and fees to new members.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities for products such as savings accounts, credit cards, and loans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment at the teller line.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; previous experience in banking, retail, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and bank operating software.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to obtain a Notary Public commission (if applicable to state regulations).
