Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with account inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments efficiently.
- Operate the teller cash drawer accurately, ensuring all cash and checks are counted and balanced daily.
- Process incoming and outgoing checks and currency using the Point of Sale (POS) system and teller terminals.
- Identify and cross-sell bank products and services to meet branch sales targets and enhance client relationships.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints professionally, escalating complex matters to branch management.
- Perform daily balancing and reconciliation of the teller drawer to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work area while adhering to all bank security policies and compliance regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or prior banking experience is a plus.
- Previous cash handling experience is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
- Fraud awareness and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of security and compliance.
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
