Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments while adhering to strict compliance and security protocols.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with account inquiries, provide information on products and services, and resolve issues with patience and professionalism.
- Cash Management: Perform daily cash balancing and reconcile the cash drawer to ensure all funds are accounted for at the end of the shift.
- Sales Support: Identify cross-selling opportunities to promote our credit cards, savings accounts, and investment products to existing clients.
- Operational Support: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the teller line and lobby areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Compliance: Uphold all bank policies, regulations, and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bank teller or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and bank teller software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry).
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Licensing: Must be willing to undergo a background check and obtain any necessary banking certifications.
