Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Perform variance analysis and assist in budget preparation processes.
- Review and approve journal entries and general ledger accounts.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA, CMA, or EA certification is a plus but not required for entry-level consideration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
