Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process invoices, expenses, and payments in a timely manner.
- Utilize accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) to maintain ledgers.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT returns.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax filings.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding financial queries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax laws and VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
