Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, payment application, and account reconciliation
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through meticulous research and stakeholder collaboration
- Optimize billing workflows to reduce DSO and enhance revenue cycle efficiency
- Ensure compliance with healthcare/finance regulations (HIPAA/FDCPA) and internal controls
- Develop and maintain billing reports for executive leadership and financial analysis
- Train junior staff on billing systems and best practices
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve billing-related client issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in medical billing or complex B2B billing environments
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or comparable billing platforms
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) or equivalent certification required
- Expertise in revenue cycle management and third-party payer systems
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial accuracy
- Proven track record in reducing accounts receivable aging
- Strong written and verbal communication for client/stakeholder interactions
- Ability to thrive under pressure with competing deadlines
