Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for medical services and insurance claims
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Analyze aging reports and implement collection strategies for outstanding accounts
- Collaborate with insurance providers to verify coverage and process claims efficiently
- Utilize Epic and Meditech systems for billing documentation and reporting
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and state billing regulations
- Prepare monthly billing reports for finance leadership review
- Train staff on updated billing procedures and compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential preferred
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and insurance claim adjustments
- Advanced proficiency in billing software (Epic, Meditech, or NextGen)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare billing regulations
