Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements weekly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare monthly financial reports and VAT submissions for SME clients
- Utilize Xero and QuickBooks software for real-time bookkeeping tasks
- Assist with quarterly payroll processing and HMRC compliance
- Support audit preparations and financial documentation reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years UK-based bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks, and Advanced Excel functions
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proven ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK working rights and right to work in England
