Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll cycles for 200+ employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage month-end closing procedures including reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare and analyze weekly financial reports for senior stakeholders
- Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations and UK accounting standards
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and tax deductions
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable workflows and vendor relationships
- Implement process improvements for payroll efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent accounting certification
- Minimum 3 years' UK payroll and month-end experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero and Sage accounting software
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation and pension auto-enrolment
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Proven experience in process optimization for finance teams
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
