Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks software
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 15-20 clients
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly
- Prepare VAT returns and quarterly management accounts
- Manage client accounts receivable/payable cycles
- Generate financial reports for client review meetings
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience with UK SMEs
- Xero/QuickBooks certification or demonstrable proficiency
- Proven payroll processing experience (Real Time Information)
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- HMRC VAT return filing experience
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional qualification (AAT/ACCA)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Weekend availability (Saturdays 9am-5pm, Sundays 10am-4pm)
