Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks software
- Process weekend transactions including payroll, invoices, and expense reports
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly financial statements
- Assist with VAT returns and quarterly tax filings
- Generate financial reports for client review meetings
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with UK GAAP
- Collaborate with senior accountants during handover periods
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper (minimum 3 years)
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and MS Excel
- AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent qualification essential
- Strong understanding of UK tax regulations and HMRC requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
