Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable transactions
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial statements
- Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns and HMRC submissions
- Manage payroll processing for weekend staff
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Generate financial reports for client review
- Implement internal controls to prevent fraud
- Utilise Xero/QuickBooks for digital bookkeeping
Qualifications
- 3+ years of UK bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid right to work in the UK
