Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the weekly closing process for all client accounts and general ledgers.
- Perform thorough bank reconciliations and variance analysis for weekend transactions.
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and compliance documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure strict adherence to GAAP accounting standards.
- Process payroll transactions and manage accounts payable/receivable during off-hours.
- Collaborate with the full-time finance team to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification or active CMA credential is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a weekend shift capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
