Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end closing processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Lead external audit coordination and compliance with GAAP/SOX regulations
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models for strategic planning
- Manage complex accounts payable/receivable and cash flow optimization
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to leadership
- Lead tax preparation and planning initiatives for multi-state operations
- Mentor junior accounting staff and improve departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated success in SOX compliance and internal controls
- Proven ability to manage multi-state tax compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong leadership experience with cross-functional teams
