Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 500+ employees semi-monthly using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (DC, MD, VA)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions with 100% accuracy
- Respond to payroll inquiries within 24 hours and resolve discrepancies
- Generate payroll reports for executive leadership and auditors
- Coordinate year-end tax filings (W-2, 1099) and reconciliation processes
- Collaborate with HR on benefits administration and new hire onboarding
Qualifications
- 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent platform expertise
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, DOL, and DC wage/hour regulations
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and ERP system proficiency
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR preferred
- Proven track record of 99.9% payroll accuracy
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive data
