Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish wages for deductions, taxes, and benefits
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations
- Prepare and file payroll tax forms (941, 940, state quarterly reports)
- Manage time and attendance data integration from HRIS systems
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Support year-end processing and W-2 distribution
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- Proficiency in ADP or equivalent payroll software
- Deep knowledge of CA labor laws and multi-state payroll regulations
- Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent experience
- CPP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and data security
- Exceptional problem-solving and attention to detail
