Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate real-time bookkeeping systems using Xero and QuickBooks
- Process monthly payroll and reconcile bank accounts with 100% accuracy
- Prepare VAT returns and manage HMRC compliance documentation
- Generate insightful financial reports for stakeholder decision-making
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with auditors during annual compliance reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proven expertise with Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage software
- Recognized accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA/ACCA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP/Pivot Table skills
- Deep understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with error prevention mindset
