Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and QuickBooks software
- Process accounts payable/receivable and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with quarterly/year-end accounts
- Generate management reports and financial statements for client review
- Manage payroll processing and pension contributions
- Conduct regular audits of financial systems and processes
- Collaborate with senior accountants on strategic financial planning
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' UK bookkeeping experience
- AAT Level 3/4 certification or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
- Proven experience with payroll systems (e.g., Sage)
- Relevant degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
