Responsibilities
- Assist with daily bookkeeping tasks: Including data entry, invoice processing, and expense tracking to ensure accurate records.
- Perform bank reconciliations: Compare financial records to bank statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the accounting department: Prepare financial reports, assist with month-end closing procedures, and maintain ledgers.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable: Process invoices, verify vendor information, and collect payments in a timely manner.
- Utilize accounting software: Work proficiently with QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial management tools.
- Prepare documentation: Assist in gathering and organizing necessary data for tax filings and audits.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: No prior accounting experience required. We value attitude, aptitude, and willingness to learn.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy with a focus on Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data processing and reporting.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
