Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for 150+ clients using ADP and QuickBooks
- Calculate and garnish wages, deductions, and tax withholdings per federal/state regulations
- Manage time-off requests and PTO accruals for hourly and salaried employees
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies with banking partners
- Generate year-end W-2s and 1099s with 100% accuracy
- Conduct quarterly payroll audits for compliance with IRS and DOL standards
- Train junior payroll staff on company procedures and software systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state clients
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks Payroll
- FPC or CPP certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Expert knowledge of federal/state payroll tax regulations (FICA, FUTA, MO withholding)
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot table experience
- Ability to handle confidential employee data with discretion
- Strong problem-solving skills for resolving payroll discrepancies
- Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions
