Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle of general ledger accounting, including month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct internal audits and variance analysis to identify trends and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, urgent work environment.
