Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, adjusting entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure all receivables are collected in a timely manner.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all discrepancies are resolved and reported immediately.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot errors before they become issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and vendors professionally.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
