Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping processes for diverse SME clients using Xero and QuickBooks
- Prepare and submit accurate VAT returns, payroll submissions, and HMRC compliance documentation
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and ledgers to ensure financial accuracy
- Generate monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses
- Collaborate with senior accountants to support audit preparation and tax planning
- Maintain digital financial records with robust data security protocols
- Provide proactive financial insights to drive client decision-making
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in UK bookkeeping with Xero/QuickBooks proficiency
- Proven track record of handling multi-currency transactions and HMRC compliance
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and financial modeling
- AAT Level 4 or equivalent accounting qualification essential
- Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in a client-facing environment
- Strong communication skills for explaining financial concepts to non-experts
- UK residency and right to work in the UK required
