Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain internal controls and financial reporting processes.
- Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, urgent hiring environment.
