Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Oversee accounts payable processes and vendor relationships to ensure timely payments.
- Conduct internal audits to identify financial risks and improve internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance manager to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
