Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy in gross-to-net calculations.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax reports (Form 941, state W-2s, etc.) on time to ensure compliance.
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and time off balances.
- Manage garnishments, child support orders, and other deductions in accordance with legal requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll records and timekeeping data to identify and prevent errors.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update employee status changes, such as new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP or a similar HRIS platform.
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance requirements.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and payroll software.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with absolute confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex payroll concepts to non-financial staff.
